School Closing Notification 31-01-2024 of Punjab Education Department on Election 2024 vide No. SO(A-I)1-31/2008(P-I) dated 31st January 2024. The Punjab School Education Department decided to close the public and private schools from 06th to 09th February 2024 due to Election 2024. The decision is due to the Election as fixed on 08-02-2024 and schools are declared as polling stations. The teachers are also performing election duties and responsibilities.

Pursuant to the approval of competent authority, all the public and private schools across the province shall remain closed from 6th to 9th February 2024, because of polling stations being established in school premises and teachers performing election duty during General Elections to be held on 08th February 2024.

2. All Chief Executive Officers (DEAs), in Punjab and Heads/Principals of Public and Private schools are directed to ensure compliance in letter and spirit.
