Prep Nursery Winter Holidays Notification 10-01-2024 of Punjab School Department issued vide No. SO(A-I)1-31/2008(P-I). The Punjab School Education Department decided to holidays for Class Prep, Nursery, and below till 19th January 2024 due to the severe cold weather conditions.

In the wake of the severe cold weather and the resultant outbreak of pneumonia amongst young children, Competent Authority is pleased to issue the following directions for compliance:-

• All Public and Private schools shall observe holidays for class Prep, Nursery & below till 19th January 2024.
• Wearing a face mask shall be mandatory for all students, teachers, and employees in schools.
• Students shall be allowed to wear any warm clothing etc other than a uniform for protection against cold.
• Morning assembly and all outdoor activities shall remain suspended in schools till 31st January 2024.
• Any ailing child must recuperate at home till complete recovery.
• No examination of any kind shall be conducted till 19th January 2024.

2. All Chief Executive Officer’s (DEAs) in Punjab are directed to ensure compliance of the directions.
