Details of PITP Sindh Programme

The Government of Sindh, through its Information, Science & Technology Department, has launched a free IT certification program called the People’s Information Technology Programme (PITP). This initiative aims to equip the youth of Sindh with the necessary knowledge and practical skills to excel in the competitive job market.

Objectives

The primary goal of PITP is to provide young people with not only theoretical knowledge but also industry-recognized certifications. By doing so, the program aims to:

• Increase employability in the growing IT sector
• Improve digital literacy among the youth
• Foster entrepreneurship in the IT field
• Reduce poverty by empowering youth with income-generating skills
• Bridge the digital divide and promote social inclusion

Venues and Delivery Method

• The courses will be conducted physically within universities and their campuses or constituted colleges located across Sindh.
• There are separate venues for candidates from Karachi, Sukkur-Larkana-Shaheed Benazirabad, Hyderabad-Mirpurkhas, and Tharparkar divisions.

• Certified Python Developer
• Certified Database Administrator

Other Details

• Duration of each certification: 2 months
• Days: Monday to Friday (5 days per week)
• Hours per day: 3 hours
• Total participants to be trained: 10,000+
• Participants per batch: 30-35
• Limit on number of courses: Maximum 2 courses at a time
• Minimum attendance: 90%

Eligibility Criteria

• HSC or equivalent
• Age: Maximum 22 years
