Join Merchant Navy Admissions 83rd Batch of Nautical and Engineering Cadet Sessions 2025-2026 announced in Dawn Newspaper dated 18-08-2024. The Pakistan Marine Academy of Pakistan invited the admissions for Sessions 2025-2026.
Eligilibility Criteria
- Unmarried male citizen of Pakistan.
- Age not more than 20 years as on FATA / Gilgit-Baltistan/AJK/Balochistan not more than 21 years as on 31-December, 2024. (One year Age Relaxation).
Academic Qualification
- The candidates must have passed F.Sc Pre Engineering or A Level with the subject combination (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) having at least 55% marks.
- Candidates of O/A level must submit an equivalence certificate along with the application.
- F.Sc / A Level Part-II appearing candidates with at least 60% marks in Part-I can also apply. However, they have to provide a hope Certificate from the head of the respective college/institute.
- If a candidate falls to attain 55% marks in F.Sc after providing a Hope Certificate, he will be disqualified at any stage of the selection process or discharged during training.
How To Register
- The prospectus and application form can be downloaded from the PMA website www.marine.academy.edu.pk. The same is also available at the PMA Admission office.
- Submit the application form through Courier Service along with a pay order/bank draft of Rs. 3,500/- in favor of Pakistan Marine Academy, Karachi, National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), PMA Branch Code 0239. (PO/DD from any bank is accepted).
- Candidates applying under the self-finance scheme (SFS) are to submit an additional pay order/bank draft of Rs. 300,000/- along with the application form.
- The SFS fee will be refunded in case the candidate is selected on open merit or does not meet PMA eligibility criteria.
Selection Procedure
- Entrance Tests will be conducted at Abbotabbad, Gwadar, Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Muzaffarabad (AJK), Peshawar, Quetta, Rawalpindi, Sukkur through hired Testing Agencies.
- A minimum of 50% marks is required to qualify entrance test.
- Medical examination of shortlisted candidates will be conducted at designated Army/Navy Hospitals.
- Final selection will be done in order of merit which includes F.Sc Marks, Entry Test Marks, Medical, Physical Efficiency Test (PET), and Final interview. PET and interview will be conducted after the Medical Examination.
- Final Interview and PET dates will be updated on the PMA website and the same will also be communicated to candidates through SMS.

Educational / Training & Degree / Certificates Awarded
- 02 Years of residential training will be conducted at PMA.
- Upon completion of training award of Associate Degree in Nautical Science and Marine Engineering by NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi.
- Certificates of International Maritime Organization (IMO) recognized Pre-Sea Mandatory Courses.
Scholarships
- 33 need-based scholarships are sponsored by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs.
