Bank Account Change SOP for Govt Employees and Pensioners letter issued by the Controller General of Accounts vide No. 632/CGA/AC-II/AP-MISC/2021 dated 13-12-2023.

The Controler General of Accounts issued a procedural SOP for the Govt employees as well as for the pensioners regarding the change of account number / IBAN for salary and pension purposes. In this letter, it is clarified that the Employees required the Change form along with NOC, and a pensioner is required to submit the written request along with NOC.

Subject: SOP for Change of Bank Accounts / IBANs in Respect of Govt Employees and Pensioners

Kindly refer to the subject cited above.

2. All the Accounts Offices, i.e AGPR, Islamabad and its sub-offices at Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, Gilgit, the Provincial AG Offices, the District Accounts Offices, and Accounts Offices of the Self Accounting Entities shall observe off following SOPs for changing Bank Accounts / IBAN for the purpose of drawing salary/pension and other payments in respect of Government Employees and Pensioners.

1. The Accounts Offices shall change the Bank Accounts / IBAN of the Employees and Pensioners after obtaining the following documents.

(i) For Employees

a. Change Form duly signed by the Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDO) of the Department / Office.

b. NOC Form the existing Banker on the specified format duly countersigned by the DDO of the department/office.

(ii) For Pensioners

a. Written request of the pensioner for change of bank accounts.

b. NOC from the existing Banker on the specified format.

2. The Accounts offices shall verify the NOCs with the authorized specimen signatures (where provided by the Bank).
